Bully Hitch Step: A well-made and useful product

Reviewed By Ronald M (Little Rock, AR) Reviewed for a 2015 Subaru Outback —11/12/2014 3:37 PM

I bought the hitch step to protect the back bumper and to have one more set of lights to get the attention of other drivers. The step will be useful for climbing up to wash the roof of the car. Installation was easy. The hitch step fits my 1.25 in. receiver. It also has a sleeve for a 2 in. receiver. I use a locking hitch pin with the step. The hitch step is solid and doesn't rattle. I like knowing that this product is guarding the back bumper of my new car.

Good Quality, but .....

Reviewed By Edward J (Sierra Vista, AZ) Reviewed for a 2009 Chevy Silverado —6/18/2009 5:41 AM

My truck has "backup assist." That is an ultrasonic signal is emitted from 4 location in the bumper to detect items behind the truck while backing up. Unfortunately, the "backup assist" can see the Rhino Step and always thinks I'm very close to something I'm going to hit. As a result I have 2 choices. Disable "backup assist" or remove the step. I am still struggling with the choice as the stip a valuable asset also.
