2015 RAV4 Hitch Install

Reviewed By Justin D (IRWIN, PA) Reviewed for a 2015 Toyota RAV4 —10/1/2015 6:14 AM

I would give this a 5 except that the instructions do not address the plastic splash panel on the driver's side. This panel has to be modified to fit after the hitch is installed. It is not difficult to modify, but it can take some cutting and fitting to make it neat.

Not quite perfect

Reviewed By ERNEST S (LAYTON, UT) Reviewed for a 2001 Toyota Tundra —9/28/2015 10:35 AM

Hitch did NOT replicate the factory unit. It was missing the bracket to accept the screws that come down thru the bumper. The factory bracket sits on top of the receiver channel but this unit was missing it & was too short to have the factory one removed & welded to this unit. Frame attachment was fine. Also, in a years time the price went from $130 to $180. Should have bought it last year.

Trailer Hitch on a Prius?

Reviewed By William R (NORTH READING, MA) Reviewed for a 2012 Toyota Prius —9/20/2015 5:47 PM

I bought the hitch only so I can attach a bike rack. The Hidden Hitch was the best price I found and the comments made is sound relatively easy to attach. It is a little tricky getting the holes lined up and getting the muffler out of the way, but if a regular Joe like me can do it, just about anyone else can. It took about a half hour but the instructions were simple and clear and everything lined up properly. It helps to have a second person nearby to hold it up before the bolts go in.
