2016 Toyota Highlander Insrallation

Reviewed By Harold C (ALEXANDRIA, VA) Reviewed for a 2016 Toyota Highlander —12/28/2016 6:35 PM

It was unclear if my vehicle had a towing package. I located a vacant fuse slot marked "towing", assumed it had the tow package and ordered above item. After connection, no power was present so I contacted AA. I was referred to Curt tech support and in a couple minutes the tech determined that my car did not have the tow package. I recontacted AA, reordered the correct part, received a fair credit on original item, and had the correct part the following day. Customer service is excellent.

Easy to Install

Reviewed By Robert L (HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA) Reviewed for a 2013 Toyota Highlander —8/28/2014 8:01 AM

This was very easy to install. This is the first time I've has a hitch, so I'm not sure the receiving end is a common connector. I was expecting a connector that mounted to the hitch or bumper that I could easily plug the trailer's plug into. Since I do not have a trailer yet, I do not know if this is the correct connector, or if I will need some kind of adapter.

Convenient Installation. Works Well. Recommended.

Reviewed By Wilbur T (GREAT FALLS, MT) Reviewed for a 1978 Ford F-250 —11/14/2016 9:50 AM

My truck already has a 4-way flat, so this made the installation easier and cleaner. Splicing into wires is a necessary evil at times and this avoids that unpleasantness. The bracket needed a small bend to allow the door to open all the way so the plug-in will fit. This is the one with the LED lights that indicate which pins are working, but I wish I had purchased a separate tester instead. One LED light always stays on. Battery drain isn't a concern, but unnecessarily attracting attention is.
