"I ordered my first Curt T-connector and installed it quickly and easily, and I also purchased a new utility trailer. The lights seemed backward, brake was small filiment (dim) and tail was large filiment (bright). Thinking this was a trailer lighting issue I swapped the wires and it seemed to be okay. Although the blinkers were funny, but it's a utility trailer, no big deal.
A few years later I replaced the complete trailer lighting due to passenger side light repeatedly either not working or blowing the bulb. The new lighting and harness did not solve the problem, so I pulled out my Fluke meter and found the passenger side was receiving 38+ volts when ever the blinker was on, which I presume is why the bulb kept blowing.
I ordered my 2nd Curt T-connector (at full price since I could not find a warranty period on original document and it was several years after my original purchase), now my trailer lights are getting 11-13 volts and are working fine, and the original blinker issue went away.
I tried to order Valley or just any different brand on my 2nd go-around but these were over $100 from O'Reilly, so I gambled and went back with Curt. I hope this converter will stay working." —Tim C from Omro, WI bought a CURT T-Connectors for a 2007 Toyota Matrix.
