CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

Handyman

Reviewed By shane l (MILWAUKIE, OR) Reviewed for a 1998 Toyota RAV4 —8/7/2016 6:33 AM

My friend has a hitch made by curt for his Honda CRV, and I liked how it looked on his vehicle. I did some research, read several of the online reviews and decided to go for it. I mounted the hitch in about 15minures using hand tools. The rear howls in the hitch are cleverly designed so that the hitch can be mounted with ease, it will basically center the hitch on the vehicle automatically. After its mounted there is barely any exposure, so you cannot hit your knees on it while your loading.

Pretty Easy Install

Reviewed By Dave B (Winchendon, MA) Reviewed for a 2013 Toyota RAV4 —7/31/2016 3:53 AM

Hardest part of install was removing trim (buy a trim removal tool) and running wire under vehicle to the battery, I was on a garage floor though. On a lift would be a cakewalk.

1.25" Hitch Adapter

Reviewed By Jon G (MOUNT JOY, PA) Reviewed for a 2005 Toyota RAV4 —7/27/2016 6:31 PM

I have an old stubby '2005 Toyota RAV4 for which I had just installed a minimal 1.25" hitch receiver. For the purpose of hauling bikes on a rack behind the RAV spare tire, I needed at least a 5" extension in the receiver to clear the tire cover. I ordered the Curt 1.25" to 1.25" adapter extension in the 7' size which now clears the tire cover by 2" to avoid any bolt gouging of the cover. The Curt product is strong, has smooth welds and a quality appearance.
