CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

ease of installation

Reviewed By Ron P (Medina, OH) Reviewed for a 1997 Toyota RAV4 —7/21/2016 6:35 PM

This hitch was the easiest I have ever installed, it took me about 20 minutes. The only problem I had was installing it by myself, but I used a car jack and it lifted right into place.

Oldcanman

Reviewed By Jon G (MOUNT JOY, PA) Reviewed for a 2005 Toyota RAV4 —7/21/2016 5:23 PM

Priced below many other web sites and stores. Constructed well for a light weight compact receiver. We didn't need anything larger for our old stubby '2005 Toyota RAV4. I have a 1 1/4" to 2" adapter for things that require 2", like our flat aluminum carrier rack or a 2" bicycle rack. With the spare tire in back, we also use a 1 1/4" to 1 1/4" X 7" extension for a bike rack. Installation was super easy and took an old man 15 minutes total.

CURT T-Connectors Reviews

There will be blood

Reviewed By Walter R (TOWNSEND, DE) Reviewed for a 2016 Toyota RAV4 —7/5/2016 8:41 PM

Not a problem with the T-connectors, but removing the panels to access the plugs on the 2016 RAV 4 Hybrid, is a royal pain and cruel and unusual punishment. 90% of the work is getting to the plugs. Unit works fine and there was plenty of cable to make the connections. An advantage with the Hybrid is that the 12V aux battery is in the spare wheel well, so running the 12V line is a piece of cake. Just need to look for a path to the outside for the flat 4 for a professional fit.
