Hole Pattern Slightly Off Results In Difficult Installation

Reviewed By Steven M (Nevada City, CA) Reviewed for a 2008 Toyota Sequoia —6/4/2009 9:24 AM

Instructions said that I should drop the exhaust pipe for installation. This is not required as there is enough flexibility in the rubber mounting to install and torque bolts without dropping the exhaust. However, the right side bolt hole pattern was off. Two holes did not line up perfectly with the nut plates. To install the rear bolt on the right side, I had to widen the right rear hole slot about 0.040" using a small Dremel grinding wheel in order to get this bolt threaded into the nut plate. This re-op quickly solved the problem, but it took a long time to diagnose this slightly off bolt pattern problem. I suggest the manufacturer check hole slot machining positions on the right side and correct patterns if required.

Draw-Tite front mount Hitch for lifted Excursion

Reviewed By Will S (Pottstown, PA) Reviewed for a 2000 Ford Excursion —1/11/2016 8:55 PM

Great product! I like the fact that it is hidden in the bumper. I will be using it for a dirt bike carrier, winch holder, cargo carrier and most of all to lift up the front of my truck using my Hi-Lift jack when I need to. Quick delivery and cool customer service reps.

This mount not only looks good but has the backbone to tow the larger loads. Some of the other mounts are only rated to tow 3500 pounds.
