Rhino Hitch Step

The Rhino step is really well made.IT looks great. Al though you don't need a step on a Toyota Tacoma. I bough it for a different reason, as a safety in case of a rear end collision.

Great step

Hitchmate works beautifully. Needs one more instruction on how to return step to the vertical position. Took me a few seconds but I figured it out. Just pull toward you and swing vertical.

So far, so good

Reviewed By Dave S (Grass Valley, CA) Reviewed for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma —12/24/2011 6:46 AM

Installed fairly easily once you figure out whether to use the spacers or not. I'm still in the "trust" stage in determining how much to rely on this versus looking over my shoulders. So far it's been useful more for smaller parking lots to avoid accidently bumping into another car when pulling out of a spot. I'm finding that the sensor goes off in my small garage and stays on once I'm past the walls and out. Once I stop, it stops. I don't understand why it stays on past the point of exit but that's the only fluke I've noticed so far. There's two ways to dull the beep volume and I'm using both as it's louder than it needs to be. Overall I like it's practicality and that it utilizes the hitch that I had no other use for.
