Excellent stopping power, but had an issue

Reviewed By Matthew S (GREENFIELD, MA) Reviewed for a 2013 Toyota Tundra —1/3/2018 10:27 AM

I purchased two kits on different occasions, both with the Green stuff pad upgrade. Pricing was great; I couldn't beat it with Store-brand pads/rotors, and free shipping was awesome. The stopping power is worlds better than OEM. One issue was that one rear rotor/drum didn't seem to be machined to spec. There was a shoulder that was too tall and rubbed about 1/3 of the way around on the heat shield (which wasn't bent). I had to grind the shoulder down to fit; not happy about that...

Smooth stopping!

Reviewed By Jeff B (SAN ANTONIO, TX) Reviewed for a 2013 Toyota Tundra —11/21/2017 8:21 PM

This is my first time getting slotted and drilled rotors as I usually get regular rotors. The quality seems nice out of the box. Installation was just like any rotor, but the hardware for the rear pads was slightly off. I couldn't for the life of me get the pads into the hardware. Ended up just cleaning and reusing the factory hardware. Could have used a little more grease too.. overall really pleased so far after 5 days.

DIY Adventure

Reviewed By John M (GREAT FALLS, VA) Reviewed for a 2013 Toyota Tundra —4/8/2016 3:57 AM

My annual safety inspection indicated a brake replacement was needed soon, but I passed. I had time. I researched the job at local repair shops and labor tripled the cost. I decided to try DIY with upgraded parts and still save money.. I chose Stoptech slotted rotors and Hawk LTS pads. A buddy was bribed for assistance. AutoAnything was great. The parts are worth the money spent. Unfortunately, the spring weather won't cooperate. The installation and testing are waiting for a sunny day.
