Easy, Sturdy, Fit

This hitch was easy to install will very few tools. Installed using ramps, and no helper. Took me about an hour in Florida sun due to several stops to get out of heat. Recommend extra hand and you can ramp this up in about thirty minutes!

Excellent hitch and well thought out installation kit

Reviewed By Howard W (Fort Collins, CO) Reviewed for a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta —3/8/2012 7:54 AM

I purchased this hitch for a 2011 Jetta Sportwagen. The hitch arrived quickly and in good condition. The price was excellent. The installation kit was very complete and made a very difficult job manageable. I have installed several hitches, but this one was a little tough. A couple bolts had to be pulled or fished down the frame. The kit came with the tools to make this possible. However, the instructions were a little vague as to where the bolts and spacers were to go. The illustration and wording were a little bit confusing. I had to grind two of the holes a little bit to get the bolts above the exhaust to align. This may have been due to undercoating. In general, I am very pleased with all aspects of my purchase. I am glad I installed the hitch myself, and I would recommend it to anyone who feels confident in their own ability.

Looking foward to to towing somthing! Anything!

Reviewed By Henry V (KISSIMMEE, FL) Reviewed for a 2016 Chevy Colorado —9/23/2016 7:04 AM

The installation was fairly simple, but you'll need an impact driver. On the 2016 Chevy Colorado, there is a brace between the spare tire that connect to the factory installed hitch and the frame it requires 4 bolts. You'll have to make a choice because this hitch does not have the two holes for the bolts that connect to the brace. No biggie though.
