CURT Receiver Hitch

I would rate myself as a novice/beginner when it comes to bolting items onto my vehicle. However, just as others have stated, the CURT Receiver was a project that could be accomplished with very little difficulty. My only problem was figuring out how to bolt it into place by myself. Figured out a solution and still finished the entire project (including adding a lighting harness) in less than two hours. Very FIRM installation and looking forward to the first use.
Curt: front mount hitch 98 Suburban

The unit arrived promptly and was easy to install. The hitch was ordered for a 2wd 1500 series suburban. However, the installation instructions list 2wd 2500 and 3500 trucks. Possibly, the frame angles are different for these trucks because when mounted, the receiver portion of the tubbing does not mount parallel with the plane of the truck; the hitch is approximately 15 degrees up-angled from horizontal. Looks bad. Can't comment on functionality at this time.

The hitch arrived early. Showed up the next day actually. It installed in 40min and worked perfectly. Next car I install a hitch on I will definitely purchase from AutoAnything. I did some research before buying and it was the cheapest.
