Hitch for my 01 Maxima

Reviewed By Francis S (Winchester, KY) Reviewed for a 2001 Nissan Maxima —7/11/2016 1:29 AM

I've had a positive prior experience using this hitch on my previous car, a 2001 Maxima, which is the reason why I bought this hitch for current car, also a 2001 Maxima.

Class III Hitch

Reviewed By William Y (ewing, NJ) Reviewed for a 1998 Nissan Maxima —5/1/2013 1:38 AM

The Curt hitch was very easy to install, looks great and the wiring was just as easy with the Curt harness. Did the job in a little over an hour by myself. I used a floor jack to lift it in place until I got the bolts started. This hitch is a excellent value.

Instructions were terrible

Reviewed By Matthew B (Paynesville, MN) Reviewed for a 2005 Nissan Maxima —8/6/2008 3:28 AM

It was pretty easy to install but it seemed like the cords were a little short. I couldn't possibly mount the black box anywhere...that I could see. I ended up wrapping it in foam and laying/hanging it below my drivers side tail light. IT is not plug and play like it says...you have to run a wire to the front of the car and connect it to the battery. That was a pain. But, I now can pulling my trailer and boat with my vibe...that was what I was going for.
