CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

Good hitch, bad instructions

Reviewed By Stephenson A (Tecumseh, KS) Reviewed for a 2010 Nissan Versa —4/7/2017 6:30 AM

This is a good hitch, but I wish there was directions. I was able to hop on youtube and find a tutorial but I wish it came with more instructions. Also have a buddy help you. It was very difficult to lift into place and make sure you get it set on the bolts correctly when you are by yourself. Make sure you tighten bolts to manufacturers specifications, which would be easier if they were clearly stated and I didn't have to waste time searching the internet for it. Good hitch, bad instructions.

Poor quality control

Reviewed By Hayden H (EL DORADO, AR) Reviewed for a 2014 Nissan Versa —11/16/2016 5:11 AM

The hitch did not line up properly with Nissan Versa Note 2014 model. Also, there was a piece of welded slag powder coated over inside the receiver that prevented hitch insertion. I had to buy a cold chisel and metal file to remove the slag with a lot of effort in order to use my bike rack with it. Not happy about that at all.

Total Crap CURT says it fits my car but the pin outs are wrong

Reviewed By Daniel W (MELBA, ID) Reviewed for a 2015 Nissan Versa —2/10/2015 9:22 PM

I bought this because they claim it fits my car and it does but the pin outs are wrong it shorts out the brake sensor and sends a signal to the transmission and wont let the vehicle go over 5-10 mph or 12,000 rpm no matter how much you floor the pedal. This is what the dealer ship found after having to pay a $135 tow bill, the dealership changed the pin outs on the T connector to work with the car. I AM NOW OUT $255.00 DOLLARS THANKS TO CURT MFG.
