Great Product, Sleek Design, Easy Install

Reviewed By Kenneth H (Justin, TX) Reviewed for a 2011 Toyota Avalon —11/9/2016 3:59 AM

We replaced our 2005 Camry and had to add a hitch to my 2011 Avalon to pull our 8' utility trailer. The hitch is a very nice design with most of the unit being concealed behind the bumper cover. I ordered the Euro 2" model and am very happy with it. The only issue I had was I pushed the unit up tightly before torqueing the bolts. The bumper cover was too tight and I had to loosen the bolts and drop the hitch to its lowest point then torque things again and all worked great.

You should install this instead of just a tap the wires.

Reviewed By Dan B (Norfolk, VA) Reviewed for a 2011 Toyota Avalon —3/26/2016 4:24 AM

Thinking about all the electronics in today's vehicles I did some checking. The electronic box (CURT T-Connector) controls the trailer lights separate from the vehicle's electronic electrical system. It only gets a signal to control the box that controls the trailer lights. What this means, something goes wrong with the trailer lights it does not effect the vehicle lights or electrical system. The install was plug and play, except for hot wire routing. Worth the cost & time!

Bolt holes don't match

Reviewed By Max B (PRATTVILLE, AL) Reviewed for a 2012 Toyota Avalon —8/30/2016 5:53 AM

After getting the main hitch and the side brackets attached to the vehicle there are 2 bolt holes on each side to attach the hitch and brackets together. These were off by 1/4 of an inch so the bolts would not go through. Confirmed I had the correct hitch. Did not want to return as this was hitch #2. Drilled out the holes to match and have moved on since this will only ever hold a bike rack.
