BedRug Pros & Cons

Reviewed By Jamey T (Watkinsville, GA) Reviewed for a 2010 Toyota Tacoma —3/9/2012 5:06 AM

The pros of this BedRug bed mat are many. The way that the bottom of the mat is form fitted to the contour of the truck bed is the best part. So when crawling into the bed to reach or do something it is very comfortable on the knees. Before I had the bedrug in my truck my dog would stand the whole time he was in the back as the bed liner was not comfortable, sometimes he would stand for as long as an hour at a time. The first time he got in with the bedrug installed, he laid right down. It was very easy to install. However with the price that I paid for both the bedrug and tailgate cover there should have been more hook & loop included for the tail gate cover. Also the tailgate cover is not contoured to the shape of the tailgate like the bed mat part was and this was not clear when I purchased it. The tailgate part seems to really need alot more hook & loop as the side edges do not have anything holding them down, and with a dog jumping in and out i forsee this being a problem. Overall I like the BedRug bed mat and the tailgate part too, but the company really should do more for adhearing the tailgate portion safetly. I spent close to $200 for both parts, I think that including another $5 worth of hook and loop would have made me happy enough to rate this product as excellent in all areas. But because it did not do that, I give it a 3 out of 5.

Great product

Reviewed By Angela B (VENTURA, CA) Reviewed for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma —8/16/2017 9:57 PM

I'm using this BedRug in a Tacoma with a camper shell, Cutting around the wheel wells is the main challenge. Make careful measurements, or even a cardboard template. A long, thin, very sharp knife worked best for cuts. 3/4" thick, and firm enough to give one's knees relief from the hard ridges of the truck bed. So far I really like it!
