Nice Rack

Reviewed By RickyAuto S (SCARBOROUGH, ME) Reviewed for a 2015 Chevy Silverado —5/16/2016 5:32 AM

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the rack installed on my truck. The only thing that was a bit hazy was which clamps should be fitted with the lock. Both front, both rear, opposite sides, I put both of mine on the front and after giving some thought switched to one front, one back, same sides. The other slight inconvenience for an older person is the numbers on the uprights are very hard to see with black embossed on black. So far it has easily held 12 ft 2 x 4's. 10 ft plastic pipe.

Good rack

Reviewed By harry s (Newport, NY) Reviewed for a 2015 Chevy Silverado —2/2/2016 2:05 PM

Overall, good rack. The black portion is powder coated steel. A few spots were chipped and immediately began to show surface rust. The company quickly provided touch-up paint, which was a plus. The rack is touted as easy on/off. However, you need to remove the tail lights in order to install/remove, and I don't consider that to be easy. I overcame this issue by using double faced tape on the lower bolt plate. Another option would be to use liquid steel on the plate.

HH

Rack is easy to assemble and attach to truck, is strong and does not make noise at high speed as long as you face the tie down loops into the wind. If your existing truck box is a snug fit it will not clear the accessory mounting kit hardware which extends about an inch into the bed side of the truck rail. If you purchase a truck box install the rack first and buy a box that will fit the inside dimension of the available space.
