Well built....Install tricky
Rack is heavy duty and sturdy once assembled. Only issue was the shims for the crossbar. Directions state to insert into upright before crossbar. Near impossible....had to use bench vise to hold upright then position crossbar then insert shim using an aluminum block and hammer. Also the shims that came with the rack had to be filed (edges were rough from stamping process). This worked fine and once upright assemblies were properly put together the rest was easy. Works well with 2 10ft kayaks
Easy to Use But...
The bed extender is easy to use, and I believe it will perform as intended. However, due to its construction and several moving and adjustable parts, it seems a little rickety and shaky, not solid. I think this is unavoidable unless you go with a solid welded extender, and even then there would be some play and movement where it attaches to the receiver.
