Truck Racks & Van Racks Review

I decided to install mine on both the truck hard top and the topper. I cut the length down by a foot on each piece with a sawzaw to fit my truck better. That was very easy, but I chickened out when it came to drilling into my new truck, so I had the people that installed the topper do it. The rack is perfect! It looks great and feels very sturdy. I especially like the end pieces that hold my ladders in on the sides and have tie downs. Fast shipping and great customer service with autoanything.

The rack arrived quickly, in two days, by UPS ground. It installed quickly and easily although it required drilling two additional holes in the bed rail because the holes that lined up with the stake pocket was clear at the back of the mounting foot. It seems very sturdy against forces going forward but very weak if the force is to the rear. It looks good. I'll just have to be sure not to secure anything to it that will pull it backwards.

This rack was a little confusing with the site. However, once it was all put together it does seem like it is put together well and will last!

I puchased the contractor ladder rack for my truck. I was surprised by how easy it was to assemble and put on the truck. Did it myself and it took about 3 hours from the time I unpacked everything til it was all setup. works and looks great. Would recommned it to anyone who thought about getting one.

Thule finally made an adapter for the Xsporter that works with the Tacoma's cargo system. It is great looking, solid and gets allot of gear out of the bed. Went together easily. Have two sets of ski racks mounted for fshing rods with room for a kayak. Would advise checking the mounting bolts in the bedrails frequently after install and use of a thread lock agent to keep the hardware tight.Only real complaint is that the front mounts cannot be lowered into the second locking position on the short bed due to the location of the fender wells. Have to look to see whether or not the the sysytem can be reversed to allow the forward rack to be dropped to the low/ stowed postion.
