I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the rack installed on my truck. The only thing that was a bit hazy was which clamps should be fitted with the lock. Both front, both rear, opposite sides, I put both of mine on the front and after giving some thought switched to one front, one back, same sides. The other slight inconvenience for an older person is the numbers on the uprights are very hard to see with black embossed on black. So far it has easily held 12 ft 2 x 4's. 10 ft plastic pipe.

The unit is somewhat over priced, I bought it on sale. Two holes in one of the uprights was not threaded for the bolts to attach the saddle. I needed a tap to thread the holes. It should have been stated early in the instructions that the rubber protectors across the top of the cross pieces would need to be cut to accommodate the cargo stops. Installing the rubber was not an easy chore and now I must remove them, install the cargo stops and then cut the rubber and reinstall the protectors.

It is OK. Seems more sturdy if legs are not all the way raised. Kind of wish I would have bought the Track Pro G2 instead. However, should be OK for one or two 100 lb or so Kayaks.

Most of the installation videos are for full size trucks. My 2014 Nissan Frontier required taking off the Utilitrack and even then the c-clamps were a tight fit. Not bad if I were to leave it installed but a pain since I use it to carry things occasionally. Apart from that it is quiet and sturdy and good looking (for a bed rack). The rubber channel insert was missing, but perhaps this is not much of a loss. Very expensive for what it is, but the price at AutoAnything was the best I found.
