Excellent rack. Strong, pretty quiet, nice looking. The sliding top tie-downs are easily removable for less wind noise and chance of loosening and loss. I did have some problems with starting bolts in the installation - had to use a tap on one hole. And one cannot install a cantilever extension for roof protection with the G2 as opposed to some other TracRacs.

Looks great, should be nice and sturdy. Only complaint is that the 5/16th inch bolts that hold the top cross rails are a tad short for the job. It would be better if the threads were a thread or two longer to engage the bolt. I dropped and lost one bolt (my fault) while trying to secude the top cross rails.

Assembly was a little bit of a pain but the rack worked great and is well built. We used it to haul our sailboards along on vacation. We didn't get it for everyday use but it worked very well for what we needed. No complaints and would buy again if I had to do it over! Also look's nice on the truck.

I decided to install mine on both the truck hard top and the topper. I cut the length down by a foot on each piece with a sawzaw to fit my truck better. That was very easy, but I chickened out when it came to drilling into my new truck, so I had the people that installed the topper do it. The rack is perfect! It looks great and feels very sturdy. I especially like the end pieces that hold my ladders in on the sides and have tie downs. Fast shipping and great customer service with autoanything.

Fit and finish are excellent, easy to install, would recommend them to a friend, very functional.
