I set the tent up prior to my trip because I read that the tents can have a very strong smell when first set up. Set up and breakdown were simple after done once. The instruction book that's attached to the inside of the tent bag was confusing but I managed to use common sense to set the tent up. Where we camped it rained and it was cold. The rain fly did a great job at keeping the tent dry. It does let cold drafts inside so be prepared with blankets and heaters.

The tent was a bit hard to put up for one person, you really need two to make it much easier. The first time I used it, it rained and water did get in. I thought that I had everything shored up tight but water got in somehow.

I set this up by myself, first time took a while but I know the next time will be a breeze. I took off a couple of stars because it does not arrive already seam sealed as my other rents have. I will take care of that next time I set it up.

I was looking for a tent to use for camping across the U.S. This tents sets up fairly easy with one person, a breeze with two. It was well thought out with options such as what side to use as an entry or a window. It fit securely around my Ford Explorer. Lots of ventilation.

We are not the youngest tent campers. At almost 73 and 80 we needed something easy to put up and down. We weren't disappointed. So simple. Connecting and unconnecting from the van was a breeze. We slept in the van and had a large living room in the tent with great space and height. The only negative was the little screen at the bottom. We could not figure a purpose for it and the first night out a little local visitor chewed a hole in it in hopes of finding goodies! The rainfly was awkward.

The tent arrived in a timely manner. It was packaged really nicely understanding that once you get the tent set up and need to put back in the bag the bag expands for the additional room you need. Instructions were clear. We only wished there were two additional poles in case you want to put the awning out on another side as well. Also, we did not receive the warranty card that was supposed to come with the purchase. The tent fit great over the van and easy to set up.

Over the years we've used many tents, and our experience has been you get what you pay for. As this tent is specific to use with a vehicle, we anticipated a higher price, or for the price a mediocre quality tent. It's been to early seasonally to actually use, but we have set the tent up to check ease of installation, and to seal the seams. Based on this first use, the tent goes up very quickly for its size, the seams and stitching appear to be of very good quality. We are very pleased.

I am a 66 year old lady and I just spent 7 days camping with my Napier tent and I love it. Very easy to setup by myself and very easy to unhook to go site seeing. Love it!!

For a person 5`4" trying to attach the vehi le zlee e to the luggage rack required a step stool. Attaching the rain sleeve will be interesting. I have yet to go camping in it but am looking forward to the first trip.
