The best idea for traction while driving your pickup truck w/o costly add-ons conversions. It's great.

Love the rack, and have already used it to make a 250 mile round-trip from our valley city to the coast (specifically, Ventura). The rack is terrific. Both my wife's and my cruisers fit on the rack, though we couldn't use the rubber tie downs to secure the bikes because frames are too wide. Like anything else, you find a way. Other than that, no problem. Surf's up with this tailgate bike rack.

Only negative would be if you are installing it (them) within a bed that has or will have a roll top tonneau cover, you will need to cut off the bottom of the rear mount about 2" to enable the top to clear during closure of the tonneau.
