I used to RV, now I Tent

After many years of hauling a trailer, schlepping a big camper and pulling a fifth wheel trailer, I now am back to a tent. My Truck Tent III is simple to put up, I actually packed it full before I left home and just popped it up with bed and all inside when I got to camp. My brother also left his class 'C' motorhome behind and used my old shortbed Napier Tent, and his kids thought this was really something special. Funny that big motorhome and the kids loved the tent experience the best. I have had two truck tents now, the latest for my longbed has plenty of room for all my gear, the new little vented areas keep it dry, don't have to open the screened windows now to keep it that way. Now if Napier would just make an add on like they do for the SUV's I'd have it made, I could then have a sitting area and my bedroom loft in the truck.

It is a very nice tent

The tent was pretty simple to assemble but I found it to be easier to put up on the ground and then put it on the truck, that was the only way to reach the top when hooking clips onto the poles. The tent is of better quality than I expected.

What a great idea this is!

Reviewed By Ralph S (Fort Worth, TX) Reviewed for a 2015 Dodge Ram —4/29/2016 3:33 PM

I saw this at the MotoGP races at COTA in the marshal camping area talked to the camper using it and then just had to have one. Best Idea Yet - We've often had heavy rain at the COTA (F1 track in Austin, TX) and the ground gets muddy and tents get flooded or blown away. Stores in the back - no wind drag , no MPG penalty. Snug and dry up off the ground away from the bugs and snakes! I love it. ?? how do I air condition it though?????
