It performed like a champ. An hour before arriving at the campsite we drove into a massive thunderstorm. Set the tent up in about 10 minutes under sheets of falling water. With the longer rain-fly (you absolutely need this) draped over the top window screens, we managed to keep most of the water out during set-up and within 20 minutes were lounging in dry comfort in chairs as the storm raged on. Was quite an adventure and a lot of fun, especially for my Californian friend who had never been in a big Mid-Western storm. I hooked the tent to my Element and the total overall interior space was palatial relative to my usual backpacking tent. Loved watching the lighting through the rear skylight. Highly recommended. Don't forget that you need the full-length rain fly!"
