The wife isnt a huge fan of camping but i was able to convince her to go with me if i was able to keep her on higher ground. Just took it for a test run this last weekend, she loved it! Took me 25 minutes to set it up only to find that it should have taken half that time, i just was too stubborn to read the directions. Nice fit in my 05 f150 short bed, tons of room for a tall guy like myself. No complaints as of yet, overall i'm happy with my purchase!

AutoAnything was great! Best price and came wtihin 3 days. Set up took about 30 minutesat first but now should only take about 10 minutes. Watch video first as this was more helpful than written instructions. Excellent product. Fit nicely in my Tundra.

I just got my tent, watched the video on YouTube a few times which made the first set up really easy. The color coordinating with the poles was very helpful, the straps keep the tent solid to the truck (so much nicer than banging stakes in the hard cold ground!), the side windows can be open in halves and there are two small vents that are great for using a catalytic heater. The shade overhang is a great feature. The custom mattress makes it a perfect set up for me. Love this tent!!!!!!!

Only known issue, one of the fiberglass support pole sections fractured about half way through, using tape to support (need for hunting trip), will contact Napier about replacement. Assembly is straight forward, after you've done it once it only takes about 10 minutes. Because of the broken pole I can only rate the tent average. I'll be impressed if Napier comes through and replaces the pole.

I set this up by myself. took about 50 min due to high winds and double checking/reading everything. Can do it in about 15 min. Very good air flow. solid in high winds. I have pics at site below. wish it was in different colors and had back access to rear truck window http://www.tacomaworld.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/283389/cat/500/ppuser/81988

The tent was very easy to set up and took less time to take down. It was a windy night and the tent stayed in place while we slept, and we never staked it down. FYI; clipping the top tent hooks to the fiberglass poles before lifting them into position will help and a good option for additional equipment would be a step stool for getting into the truck bed. Especially for those of us who are vertically challenged. Great product and appears to be well constructed.

This is a great tent, and installs easily either on the truck bed or on the ground and then to be lifted onto the truck bed. I recommend watching the 5 minute set-up video a time or two before the first set-up, but can still easily accomplish with just the enclosed paper instructions. The color-coding is also helpful.

When I get up before dawn to go hunting or fishing, will the tent slide out and stake to the ground to hold my campsite and allow me to go or do I need to take it apart each day and reassemble every night?
Answered by Nathan S. — Nov 02, 2012 3:32 PM
Hi, Theoretically it can be used on the ground, you can but you would have to figure out a good way to stake it down as it's designed to fit in a truck bed.

Hello, will this model fit my 2000 Dodge Dakota Club Cab? My truck has an extended cab, but it's the strange version with only 2 doors still (the front seats fold forward to crawl into the back). Pretty sure my bed is around 6'5 feet, but wanted to double check. Also, i live in a rainforest; how waterproof is this tent in a downpour? And is it something I can set up on my own, or will it really require a helper?

I own a 2012 Ram crew cab short bed, I have a 4 section folding hard cover on the bed. The cover flips onto itself toward the car so it's 1/4 its size and 5 inches thick... I know I'd lose some space, but can I still use this/ or another tent with the cover installed?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jul 20, 2012 2:51 PM
Thanks for asking about how this would fit in your truck bed along with the bed cover. The tent will be placed about 15” to 18” away from the rear window of the truck cabin, so the tent sleeve that allows access to the cabin through which items and power cords would be passed won’t be flush to the rear window. More importantly, the poles and flooring and awning overhang would not work properly, as each tent is custom made to the bed size and anything that reduces access to the full landscape of the bed will interfere with the tent. For the short bed, both the Napier Sportz Truck Tent 57 Series and the CampRight Truck Tent need to be flush against the bed of the truck in order for everything to fit with the poles and the flooring and the overhangs. If you had the longer bed we could order the shorter version and the difference would be closer, but in your truck’s case it would not be a good situation.

This tent sounds like a great option for our Toyota Tundra. I notice that people buy the fitted air-mattress but can it hold a regular queen mattress? Someone else mentioned cots...how did they work?

Will this tent work with a rollup tonneau cover? Would the rails have to be removed? (I know the cover would at least have to be rolled up-please don't give that answer).
Answered by Henry C. — Jan 23, 2012 9:58 AM
Hey Ronald, according to the Napier website, the tent will fit over bed rails that are less than 3” tall. So, since the rails of your roll-up tonneau are not nearly that tall, it should work.

How do i add to cart?
Answered by Whitney B. — Nov 04, 2010 8:53 AM
Lakyn, Adding any of the AutoAnything items to a cart is a streamlined process. Once you're on the product page, in this case go here: http://www.autoanything.com/truck-tents/60A2944A0A0.aspx Next, make sure that you use the vehicle drop down on the right hand side. Put in your year, make and model...then select your sub model. Once you've entered all that information, a large red button should appear in the vehicle selector's place. Simply click it and you've put the tent in your shopping cart. Hope this helps!
