I would have rated it excellent except that it does not fit a Ramsey 8500lb winch. I had to weld the mounting holes shut and then redrill them. They are about 3/4 of an inch to short and to keep it centered, means redrilling all four holes. Other than that, it is made of good quality material and I will buy Smittybilt again.

How do I select the universal mount option? Only the wrangler/TJ option comes up even though my registered vehicle is a 2011 Nissan Frontier. Have the fitment specialists determined that the wrangler version is the best fit for the frontier? I just wanted to confirm before placing my order. Many thanks.

Thank you for your inquiry about winch mounts for your Nissan Frontier. The ones designed for universal fit on the Jeep wranglers is not going to work for your truck. You will need a vehicle specific mount or a front hitch and universal hitch mount winch holder. I do not have a vehicle specific mount but I do have a front hitch for the frontier and some options for winch mount to fit that. Below are some links to products to consider.
Front Hitch.

Warn Winch Mount.
This style of mount will let you easily remove the winch assembly for times that it is not required and to reinstall easily. If you add additional wiring to the rear of your truck, it will also let you mount it on a rear hitch to either pull the vehicle backwards or to pull items toward the rear of the truck. Thank you.
