"The mount is very well made. I have the means to build my own, however for the price you get a lot of parts. In the kit the supplied longer handle is to short. Also the handle had the wrong angle, and hit the frame of the mount, I had to bend it to be able to use it. If it were another couple of inches longer would be easier to use. I purchased the M8000, and its a good winch but some upgrades would be nice. There should be instructions to help you change the 'clock ' position for handle placement. and make the holder for the mounting nuts actually hold the nut. Otherwise good deal for a good price."

"This is a beautifully engineered piece of equipment, and it's made in Oregon! The installation instructions are easy to follow. I was able to install this myself with the aid of a floor jack, and it fit in place easily. Warn has thought of everything to make installation a piece of cake, providing access ports for otherwise difficult-to-reach bolts, etc. They even include replacement battery bolts. Nothing is left to chance. I do wish it came with stainless mounting bolts and a roller fairlead instead of a hawse, but the Warn Hidden Mount is great unit that preserves the clean lines of a beautiful truck. My wife even likes it!"
