This is the product to buy if you are mounting your winch on the front of your truck. Extra long tongue allows it to clear front bumper. Mounting winch is simple with this installed on vehicle first. If using a large or heavy winch, I would recomend getting the version with handles, if you will need to be removing it often.

When I saw the winch plate I was a little on sure for the price. I didn't want to buy a cheap harbor freight special but didn't want 300 something dollars winch mfg receiver winch plates. with a little shopping around i found the the curtis receiver. to mount in the front or rear bumper receiver on my jeep. I found the plate is soild and my superwinch LP 8500 bolted right on and for the prices you can't go wrong

A great product, much heavier duty then I expected and easy to put on and take off. I do not use it that much but it is in my garage when ever it is needed.

Decent mount for the money. I have a 12,000lb Smitty Bilt Electric Winch on this. This was being installed on the front hitch receiver of my Hummer H2. The holes on the mount are only horizontal. So I had to drill a 5/8 hole though the mount vertical to get a bolt to work with the H2's front hitch receiver aswell.

I mounted a Rugged Ridge winch on this. The RR winch is designed for Jeeps so I was a bit worried that there would be some customization required, but the holes lined right up. It also accepted the roller guide for the winch. Nice product. The only thing I wish it could do is make the winch lighter... it's a pain to drag that heavy thing out and mount it. You might benefit from the handles, but it won't make it any lighter. I do not have handles and carry the winch by its cage. I use this with a front mount Draw Tite receiver on a 2000 Silverado.
