T-Max Off-Road Series EW8500 Winch Part #47-1487 Customer Reviews

Well the winch seems to be great. It works well, it speed is good, the rope is good quality, and its easy to use. The reason for the four stars is because it didn't come with the cables to connect the solenoid to the motor. I contacted Westin (who make T-Max) and they never even got back to me so I made cables out of battery cable. Other than that, the winch seems great and the rope is better quality than others at the same price.

I have been wanting a winch for quite a while and couldn't be happier with the EW8500. It has already received a work out pulling logs to the truck while cutting firewood in NW Montana. I went with the synthetic rope and feel safer using rope vs traditional cable. I have no doubt this winch will earn its keep.

The winch itself is nice, but the plastic control box came with a large hole punched in the top right through the TMax sticker/decal. I was able to take the top off and glue the pieces back together rather than send the whole thing back. Also, the winch plate came with the box open and bolts missing. Not a good first impression of AutoAnything.com. The products seemed nice enough though. On another note, the bumber I bought came in one piece!
