Mile Marker Mounting Kits - Extreme Mount Winch Guards Reviews

Mile Marker winch mount - Ford Expedition

Reviewed By Ron Z (Great Falls, MT) Reviewed for a 2004 Ford Expedition —3/5/2012 8:26 AM

This mount is heavy heavy duty, it weighs over 100 lbs. Installs pretty easy, fishing the supplementary brackets through the lower valence grill though takes time and patience. There could be just a bit more space for the remounting of the factory tow hooks, may have to relocate them to the sides of the winch mount. I do need to add the light bars or make some myself. I think the $200+ they want for the light guards is a bit pricey for them.

Mile Marker Receiver Hitch D-Ring Reviews

Tow Point

Reviewed By Daniel M (Geneva, IL) Reviewed for a 2016 Jeep Wrangler —12/26/2017 6:15 AM

First, the best place to connect a recovery strap to pull a stuck vehicle is at the hitch receiver in the center of the towing vehicle. Second, it is advantageous for the clevis to pivot based on the angle (right-left or up-down) to the towed vehicle. reduces side forces on the clevis by aligning the clevis to the load. The Mile Marker D-Ring Clevis Hitch is well made and has a very distinct appearance. Still brand new...we will see how well it holds up to the elements.
