it is quite thick, so storing it inside the vehicle is quite hard.

Pros: not difficult to install, no rattle while driving, does not interfere with view (when retracted of course), blocks most of window when closed, pretty quick/easy to open and close but room for improvement Cons: somewhat bulky/clunky, requires a bit of finesse to open and close. It has two plastic halves that clamshell together over a pleated shade that is retracted by two spring loaded wires. The two halves lightly snap together when closed/unsnap when opened requiring some care in handling. The pleated design under spring tension is clunky and must be maneuvered around the rear view mirror. I once had a thin shade like the type seen in homes - the roller blinds that you pull down over the window. It pulled across the windshield effortlessly but it was held by suction cups that would not stay and it rattled when driving. No manufacturer really gets these right.

I could not find a shade for my 2010 Civic. The windshield is so much bigger than most. It was a great to find out I could purchase one that not only fit, but it does a great job keeping out a lot of the heat
