When Dean Martin crooned the old holiday standard, “Walking in a Winter Wonderland”, he was obviously missing the point, being from California and all. For those of us “driving” in that winter wonderland day in and day out, snow and ice is a real nightmare—until now that is, thanks to the Covercraft Auto Snow Shield.
This car cover for snow is designed to protect the key areas of your vehicle. The windshield and windows, windshield washer spouts, the roof, the mirrors and the door handles are notoriously difficult to clear of snow and ice. But, your Covercraft winter car cover boasts a 2-piece design that splits apart in the middle, clearing each half of your vehicle with ease.
Crafted from a silver urethane-coated polyester material, your car snow cover is built to last. The 2 built-in handles per side are burly enough to drop the largest snow loads and the 6 attachment straps keep the cover secure no matter what the weather. Even better, Covercraft includes a handy storage bag with your Auto Snow Shield and they back it with a 1-year warranty.

Would this product fit an SUV?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 14, 2013 8:58 AM
Hi, For a Ford Edge, I think it would work as it's basically a taller car and the roof line is not unlike most cars. It probably wouldn't work with an explorer or escape though.

Has the same products and mentions handles to pull versus your page of pulling from the roof down. Are you one in the same company? Prices vary as well.. Thank you

Only I'm somewhat handicapped and wonder how this works, how difficult it is to assemble and how difficult it is to place on the car, and take the snow off. It's a lot of $$ for something not yet provided with reviews, etc. Thank you, GAil

I see someone says it's easy to take off what about putting on? With wind I would like something that I don't need two people so I'm interested in this Thank-you Jean

It’s not difficult to put on by yourself and it has tie-downs which prevent the Snow Shield from blowing off your vehicle. However, if the wind is really kicking up it’s a lot easier to setup with two people instead of one. I have set it up by myself in the past with the wind gusting and it took longer but it wasn’t impossible.

is this uncomplicated to pull off
Answered by Nathan S. — Nov 08, 2012 11:22 AM
Hello, It's extremely simple to pull off. When it comes time to uncover the car, just reach into the middle of the roof of the car, grab 1/2 of the cover and pull up and off. Repeat on the other side and your car is free of snow.
