Over all a very nice product, however the main air hat that attaches to the throttle body did need some trimming to fit correctly. ARE YOU READING THIS AEM,LOL! Also, it makes a pretty loud sound from the air sucking into the engine. Nothing i can't get over. jim

You can easily tell the intake is far less restrictive than stock. There is a split second hissing sound it makes upon acceleration, which is quite unique. I did have to modify the new air box in order to mount it. The flange was too thick for the reused factory lock ring. I used a grinder to shave about a 1/4"+/- off the base, then it mounted fine. Haven't seen a difference in fuel economy, however I have noticeably better pick-up. It's an inexpensive mod I would reccomend to anyone.

This is my second AEM Bruteforce CAI and it opened up my 98 ram. My other one is on my 2004 Ram Rumble Bee. I love it and everyone I know raves on apperance and performance. I really love the sound change, it really sounds great on both trucks. I will never buy a different brand. Highly recommended to all!!!

Improvement in horsepower (seat-of-pants) and fuel economy (as long as you keep your foot out of it) over stock with K&N filter. What sold me was the dry vs. oiled filter. However, the breather tube that came with the kit was too short. Emailed AEM and no response. Purchased a plastic coupling to connect old and new hose. Overall a great product that produces what it said it would. Oh yeah, it gives this already great sounding stock exhaust a little throatier sound.
