K & N air filters areinstalled in a 1994 Porsche 968 and a 2006 Mini S. These cars are keepers, so with a long view these will be part of maintenance I am able to do.

This is a great filter, I have it on all our cars. Be aware that the Mini Cooper has an interesting clamp attaching the hose to the filter box. You may want to purchase another hose clamp from the hardware store prior to removing the OEM part.

I considered the cone shaped performance filter with a cold air box but opted for a K&N replacement of the stock filter instead. I'm sure it breathes better with the new filter and it feels a little more eager from a dead stop. I have used a K&N filter before in a VW Golf. I have a round cannister filter in my Dino that looks like a K&N but it is a different brand.

The K&N filter for my 2006 Mini Cooper S Convertible was excellent and a big improvement for the car. It was easy to install and a perfect fit. Would strongly recommend to any one that owns a Mini Cooper. Money well spend. Enjoy.

This K&N air filter for my '05 Mini Cooper S actually has increased my overall performance, with an apparent increase in overall horsepower, low-end torque, and mpg. Try it; you won't be sorry!

I got this for potential gas savings and a little extra "gitty up" power. So far did not see any gas saving or extra power that people claim on other reviews. Did not hear any acoustic improvement either. I think the stock air box really limits the perfomance and sound. I had an accord before with a straight tube and cylinder type K&N and you can really hear the engine roar! For those looking for extra power and sound, upgrade the air box and the ducting.

I've been using K&N air filters for years on all of my vehicles. They really do add extra horsepower and make your engine run smoother. The extra money you pay for a K&N filter is well worth it.
