The cabin filter is of better quality than the original and so isn't the engine air filter, really hard to tell if I have more power, but must have a little more and might have a little better gas mileage but not really noticeable.

MK&N makes a quality air filter based on my previous purchase history. While it is to soon to judge the improved MPG on this Chevy Cobalt, the throttle response seems slightly better. I purchased the recharge kit as I know this filter will pay for itself over time.

I've been using K&N filters and I'm very satisfied with the performance of the product. It not only increases my horsepower, I always gain mpg.I will continue to use K&N in all of my vehicles and off road toys.

I've had these filters for about a week. I have a scangauge which measures horsepower. Since horsepower depends on rpm and throttle position, it varies too much to tell if there has been an increase. I have not been able to see if fuel economy has increased either. My gauges measure mpg, but the anticipated 1 mpg increase is also impossible to measure because so many factors affect fuel efficiency at the same time I can not be sure they were all the same as before I installed the K&N Filter. So, I am very leary of the claims people make, but I suspect there are some benefits. I fully believe the filters have a longer life span than paper filters. I've seen them be dirty after 4,000 miles (my car).
