Just purchased a 2014 Chevy Traverse. First thought, as with all my vehicles, is to toss the paper filter and go with K & N. Hard to install on the Chevy due to it having several screws to remove with poor access (no fault of the filter)...after that, install is smooth and the performance is the usual: better sound, better throttle response, and better fuel economy, what's not to love?

Every new or different vehicle I purchase gets a K&N filter as the first purchase simply because I will never need another filter. I recommend keeping the old filter for when it's time to service the K&N because to guarantee it is cleaned and oil correctly you will need at least 3 days to do the job. I don't see any performance gains or increase in mileage but what do gain is piece of mind knowing my engine will be working smarter and not harder to obtain longevity through less work.
