THE REASON I RATED 1 STAR ON INSTALATION WAS MY CAR (CTS COUPE) WAS A PAIN IN THE ARS TO DISASSEMBLE THE AIR BOX TO GET AT THE FILTER. I'V ALWAYS USED K & N FILTERS FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER & THE QUALITY HAS ALWAYS BEEN OUTSTANDING WITH INCREASED GAS MILAGE & DURABILITY. ITS WORTH THE PRICE TO PAY ONE TIME FOR LIFE OF A CAR. THANKS RON

I have been using K&N cotton reusable air filters since the 70's and not had anything negative to say. They last as advertised and may or mat not increase horsepower, depending upon the make and model or your vehicle. I recently installed a K&N filter on my 2007 tuned Corvette and now my 2012 Cadillac CTS-V. It allows my CTS-V to breathe a little easier than a stock paper filter and I have noticed a little quicker response time at lower RPM's.

The intake system of Cadillac's 3.6L V6 direct-inject engine breathes equally well between the stock paper filter and the K & N. There is more than enough surface area using either filter medium. This being said, the price for the cleanable and reusable K & N filter at AutoAnything is well below their competitors and is paid for by one or two paper filter changes. The K&N fit my application perfectly with ease. Tip: Don't over-oil filter media as oil may coat downstream sensors/ perfprmance.
