These filters are awesome. Gas milage is the same to slightly improved in my 2010 Honda Insight, but I do notice the car has more "get up and go" in it since I put the filter in... Anyone who has an Insight knows just how sluggish and slow to accelerate they are in the same of gas milage and the puny gas engine in the hybrid. so, the increased pep is definitely a big benefit!

Hi, I believe I got a good deal purchasing an K&N air filter from AutoAnything. My local auto parts stores -- Kragen and AutoZone -- didn't have a standard filter in stock for my Honda Insight hybrid. It had to be ordered and cost $20. My K&N was $39. I was interested to see if there would much of a gain in fuel economy. The Insight has instant and overall fuel economy read outs. At constant highway speeds, I have not seen any change or gain. Still a good value for the long life.

Your ad for this product, indicates improved gas mileage. If this has occurred it is so insignificant that it is not noticeable. In fact, I have a guage that gives me instant feedback on my gas mileage - it looks like what I am getting is about the same. Otherwise, I am happy with the product.

The Honda dealer quoted a crazy price to replace the air filter, so I went online found autoanything.com and started looking. I have never liked paper throw away filters so the idea of a permanent filter that you clean and reuse appeals to me. I didn't understand the term recharge kit, so I didn't get it but it's my next purchase. I think they should probably call it a cleaning and recharge kit, but that's me. The Insight averages 48 city and 43 hwy, but since I replaced the filter the milage has gone to 50+ city and hwy. It also seems to have more pep on the interstate. All in all I'm glad the dealer tried to rip me off it turned me on to a great product, and autoanything seems to carry any and everything and ships when they say they will and can't beat free shipping. I actually recommended K&N to a Prius owner this morning when I was getting gas.

I installed a K&N filter over a year ago in my 2000 Civic HX. I immediately noticed a 10% increase in mpg from low 40s to mid to high 40s and have exceeded 50mpg occasionally. Last winter my mileage began to drop off and I blamed that on the cold weather, but I cleaned the filter and my mpg went back up. I would say the free flow filter increases performance but since I am a gentle driver mpg is more important than winning drag races. This week I installed a K&N filter in our 2010 Honda Insight and although it is too soon to tell if there is a difference I expect the Insight to consistently achieve over 50mpg. Jerry
