Haven't had filter in long but throttle response has increased but I'm not sure on fuel economy. I've always had good luck in the past with K&N. It's not about performance but about not having to buy another filter again.

This is the best engine/ cabin filter i ever had , in fact I had it installed on my 3 vehicles (2010 Honda Pilot, 2015 Kia Optima, and 2015 Subaru Legacy) which improves the cars performance also it saves me money overtime. I'm a very satisfied customer.

I have been a loyal fan of K&N for many years with every single one of my cars, and my Optima SX was no exception. The only drawback with my SX was the responsiveness "off the line" with the stock filter, and I figured that the K&N would fix the responsiveness, only to my dismay, I don't really notice a difference. It's hard to tell that I have a K&N, but I'm sure it's doing its job, I just can't tell a difference. I also got a K&N Cabin air filter. I also can't tell its in. I still love K&N!

Prior to my install of a K & N air filter my car performed at 27.5 mpg, I inserted my new K & N air filter driving the same tripe(84 miles), and at the same speed, and on the same tank of gas, and performed at 28.7 MPG. !!! I'm a believer that the MPG improvement is due to the use of K & N air filters !
