I wasn't expecting any crazy increase in HP, but the filter did even out the idle and improved my mpgs by about 1, and I think even smoothed the transmission shifts. But my old OEM filter was pretty black. Anyway, I just like the idea of a reusable filter that doesn't need to be oiled and afe products are always good quality.

This filter appears to be well made and was a direct replacement for my OEM filter. My only concern is that at first I lost 2-3 MPG. I finally figured out that the truck was re-learning its fuel/air mixture. Now I am back to the same MPG that my OEM filter gave me, so the net result is "0". Could have saved some money purchasing a OEM filter. This is a 6.2L gas engine. I average 15MPG running around and 9-10 towing the camper. I thought I would increase that by 1 or 2 MPG. No Luck.

Haven't noticed much of a difference in performance or mileage, but didn't really expect to. I mainly bought this for the money it would save in the long run. At $20 a pop for paper filters it will pay for itself in no time. There's not much you can do to today's engines short of retuning to squeeze out much more performance or efficiency. So don't expect miracles. But a quality dry filter can't hurt.
