While I haven't noticed any difference in performance yet, the filter is very well constructed and fits like the factory filter. Changing it took only 5 minutes and required only a Phillips screwdriver. There may be a slight increase in intake noise under hard acceleration which is welcome as the engine is normally so quiet you have to watch the tach in order to get any idea if the RPM.

I recently bought a aFe Pro-Dry S drop in panel filter and couldn't be happier.I had been using a competitor's oiled filter, but over time the use of an oiled filter may damage the MAF sensor. The "dry" part of this filter is that no oil is needed for it to work. The filter itself is very high quality and sturdy. Note, I used the 2011 GTI filter which has the same engine as my car (2012 VW GLI) wasn't listed but it still fits perfectly.

Diffidently like it better for my Jetta TDI. The car isn't exposed to such dusty conditions that my Ram diesel is exposed to. I feel that an oil filter is a must for the truck. The filter from aFe fit quite well. As far as performance haven't noticed any. Just hope it last for the life of the car. Thanks for your timely delivery.

The ability to wash and reuse the filter was a major factor in my purchase. There's no need to apply oil to this filter which may cause a sensor to malfunction. I would recommend this product to a do- it - yourself customer.

Working good so far. Seeing a 1 to 2 point increase in MPG. Biggest difference is in the reduced turbo lag. Peak flow is about the same. I will check the intake tube in about 10k to ensure the air coming thru is clean.
