K&N Air Filters Reviews

Best thing you can do for your engine

Reviewed By Steven O (Englewood, CO) Reviewed for a 1992 GMC C/K 2500 —7/17/2013 7:22 AM

I have used K&N Filters a few times over the years and they work great. I tow a trailer with my truck loaded down, always notice a difference with the K&N over the paper filters while towing. These guys had a great price, saved $20 over getting in a local store. They did not have my truck listed for this item. I always go to the manufacturer of whatever it is I am looking at buying. Take the MFG number and search on Ebay for that number. These guys where at least $10 cheaper!

First Green Filter

Reviewed By David V (Pacific, MO) Reviewed for a 2008 GMC C/K 2500 —3/8/2011 6:59 AM

Up to this time I've only used K&N filters in my trucks and cars, they've done well and no problems. I decided to try the Green Filter based on a review I read about their use of woven cotton material rather than the cotton gauze type of K&N. It seemed worth a try plus the last K&N filter I got had to much rubber bleed over to the cotton material & construction was a bit flimsy, their quality control seems to be slipping. The Green does seem better built and sturdy, real tight cotton material not oily out of the box like K&N, I usually had to wipe them down before install. Had the Green on for about 500 miles, better/smoother throttle response but not long enough to gauge MPG or horsepower increase but don't expect much nor did I with K&N, mainly got them for airflow intake. Very satisfied with overall construction quality vs K&N, just hope the cotton material is as good as advertised. Only time will tell.

High flow and indestrutable

Well built, easy to clean, airbox seals really tight now, air flow has increased guessing about a 5whp gain, throttle response is sharp, would recommend spending the extra cash vs a k&n filter.
