I own a 1996 Nissan Maxima and just recently installed a K&N Air Filter. I noticed immediate acceleration gain; it is as if the intake manifold breaths easier. I have also calculated the MPG, since the new K&N Filter, and depending on my driving habits, I now average 24 MPG from 20-22 MPG on a conventional air filter. That is a 30 MPG gain, a 1.125 gallon positive difference of fuel conservation per tank. I now save $3.00 per tank when I fill up with gas, and gain 30 MPG per tank. Just do it. The K&N Air Filter will pay off in 13 weeks. Do the math.
