My new K&N filter really lets my engine breath. I can feel it surge as it enhales and gathers strength zooming up the tach. The sole downer is: Installation had to be done by my automobile dealer service dept. Otherwise, they advised, the plastic engine cover could break. The K&N filter is much lower height than the stock paper filter, and the shape of the K&N box makes one wonder if this was the correct filter. The length of the box matched the paper filter, but the width of the box was about 3" wider, but the filter itself has the same width as the paper filter. Apparently K&N is using uniform size boxes to save on packaging costs. Be sure you open your box before giving it to your service dept., or you will never see the filter.
