  • Volant scraps pleated cotton-gauze for this revolutionary straight-through fluted design
  • Hundreds of fluted layers trap 99.97% of the damaging particles trying to kill your engine
  • While trapping more dirt, the PowerCore® lets your engine breathe all the power-producing air it can handle
  • Compared to typical pleated filters, the PowerCore® restricts 50 times more dust while delivering vast improvements to engine efficiency
  • The oil-free media means your PowerCore® stays maintenance free for up to 150,000 miles
  • The rugged design makes your PowerCore® filter impervious to water
  • Designed to replace the filter in most Volant, K&N, AEM and Airaid cold air intake systems
  • Volant backs your HV Cold Air Intake Replacement Filters with Donaldson PowerCore® Filtration Technology with a 4-year or 100,000-mile warranty—whichever comes first
Description:
The verdict is in; cotton-gauze is for bandages—not air filters. 30 years ago cotton-gauze was the only way to make a performance filter, but that was 30 years ago. So, why do the leading brands still rely on ancient methods? No one knows, but leave it to Volant HV Cold Air Intake Replacement Filters with Donaldson PowerCore® Filtration Technology to launch the performance air filter into the 21st century.

By using advanced Donaldson PowerCore® Filtration Technology, Volant packs hundreds of staggered flutes into one rugged filter design. The flutes trap dirt at the surface instead of letting it clog up in the pleats like old-time filters. The PowerCore® allows more power-rich air and less engine-killing crud into your motor. And, your PowerCore® filter requires zero maintenance for the next 150,000 miles!

Already have a cold air intake? No problem, the PowerCore® fits most popular aftermarket systems. So, you can upgrade your K&N, Airaid or AEM intake to the unsurpassed performance and protection of the PowerCore®. Best yet, your PowerCore® Filter is backed by Volant's 4-year, 100,000-mile free replacement warranty.

Awesome protection for your truck.

If your want the best filtration and longevity for your engine then this is the way to go. Other filters flow more But at the expense of filtration, allowing abrasive particles in an engine just for the sake of performance is not for me.

Volant HV air filter

Currently testing mpg to see if there is a difference from the old Volant filter. Unit installed on a 6.6 duramax diesel which has a lot of get up and go anyway. Installing hint is to push the rubber flaring inside of filter and place in air intake manifold and then place clamp over rubber and pull rubber out of filter.

Second one in 07 Yukon

This is the second filter I have installed in my Yukon. The first one performed well and lasted for 75000 miles. Living in Texas where dust is pervasive due to the long hot summers without rain for weeks at a time, this filter performs well. It also increased the vehicle's performance. I like this filter.

Glad to have my new filter

It was a little more than I wanted to pay for a filter and it was a tight squeeze getting the old one out and putting the new one in. Other than that I'm still happy with my kit... I went a little over the 100k and didn't believe the dirt that came out of the old filter... could tell a difference right after I replaced it... will not go over the 100k again.

Refresh filtering on Cold Air Intake

When you don't have the time to clean and oil a million mile filter pick up a new one. These filters are great, seal up super tight too so no unfiltered air to the engine!

Volant CAI

This seems to be a good CAI. Haven't had it installed to long so can't fully speak on a review as when I first got it I had a hiccup with mine. Auto anything stepped up and took care of it though and got me squared away. I couldn't be happier now it's installed. Between my Super 44 exhaust and the CAI that thing can get loud. I love it. Working on programming it in now.

Volant

I've been running the Volant CAI system in my 2012 GMC Sierra 5.3 since about 20,ooo miles and just replaced it @ 125,000 miles. I haven't noticed much change in power or gas mileage. But, my truck runs great, doesn't use a drop of oil between changes and I am confident that it is breathing clean air. And for that piece of mind it's worth the investment. note that I only use synthetic oil and change regularly by the truck's system indicator (clock).

Volant CAI filter

just replaced one that had 60000 miles on it. you really can't tell how dirty they are because you can't see the inner filter. did seem heavier than the new replacement though. have never seen any improvement in gas mileage etc. as long as the PCM is adjusting things i don't see how you could. if anything the better fow is going to make it adjust for more gas!

Replacement filter

Bought it to have e\a replacement for the Volant CAI kit that I installed. The PowerCore should last up to 100,000 but I just wanted a spare when I install the scoop that came with the airbox.

Replacement filter

Purchased car used and came with Volant cold air intake. there was no record on how old filter was except a date stamped on the filter of Nov 11. I decided to replace after a recommendation from Volant. I was a little taken back on the price (expensive) but with a 4 year/100,000 mile change out it is cheaper that convention filters replacing at every 20,000 miles! Plus filtration is superior.

Good Filter For The Northwest Rain, But Over Priced

The filter is a must for the rain of Western Washington. The company must be very proud of their filters at the price point they sell them at.

I really like these filters !

Use one on my F350 diesel (factory) and bought aftermarket CAI for use on my F250 gas motor. Replaced filter with one of these and noticed .3 mpg improvement and easier engine "breathing". Believe it will easily pay for itself.
