Requires relocating the horn. Air box is so large you will have to remove it entirely to changea headlight. Bolt holes do not align properly, and the intake tube is at the wrong angle with the throttle body.

Noticed a little mpg and throttle boost right away. In combination with my new exhaust, it's like driving a different vehicle. I think volant's a good company trying to put out a good product. Make sure you buy the fully SEALED intakes like this one, not the 12640 with a hole in it for the horn. And make sure your whole system's clean (fuel, intake/throttle body, cylinders, etc.) I didn't notice any new sound from the engine but didn't care. Gave a breath of fresh air to my 105k mi engine.

I installed the volant CAI on my 2007 Nissan xterra SE and say instant power and fuel economy I was getting about 268mpg prior to install, now I am averaging about 300-320mpg, no other upgrades. The price is a little high for a simple system however this is the only closed system you can find for you're xterra, and you have to relocate the horn which is a bit of an issue of youre not prepared for it. Overall this cold air intake is solid 8.7 out of 10, and recommend it to everyone

The product is great and it gives a big boost in power and fuel economy. The instructions provided are not very good but I would still rate this item very high. It also sounds really good.

Easy to install, looks great and adds quite a bit of power. Haven't had a chance to check out any improvements in fuel economy yet.

i got this in hope to save gas through city but didnt really see much of a difference. Although on the highway, i believe you get another 2mpg. then again i did drive fast all the time. This Cold Air Intake did add some power to my Xterra...and at high revs it sounds deep and amazing. Sounds like a V8...well if ur worried about getting this or not. i'd say go for it. For the price, its a great addition...and its quality.

Installed in an 05 Xterra, I couldn't be happier. Better gas mileage when I want it, or more power when I want that. At least in the Xterra's, these things can sound pretty meaty and loud, and I love it.

I installed this on my 07 Xterra. The performance increase was noticeable, and gas mileage improved noticeably as well. The install was not easy. First, the airbox intruded deeply into the area of the horn, and the horn wires has to be spliced and the horn relocated. Second, the mounting holes in the airbox did not quite line up with the mounting points on the inner fender. I had to wrestle the dog out of the airbox for more than an hour before I got everything threading in properly. Thirdly, the MAF mount threads did not match the factory ones and no new ones were included, I had to run out and buy screws that fit. Great product, but be prepared for some work.

I have had my volant on for 1 week and noticed an increase in power right away. The instruction were worthless. For the money you would expect more than one sheet of paper with a picture on it.The product is good and shipping was fast but the instructions need to be improved.........
