Got a great deal from AutoAnything.com ,and I love this Volant Cold Air Intake. I can actually feel the difference in power ,and it also looks really good under the hood of my 2000 F150!

I purchased a volant for my ford 4.6. I have already noticed bottom end torque, and better throttle response. I'm sure gas mileage will go up next tank

Too early to tell on performance. Bought it for power and gas mileage. My truck is used as second vehicle and not driven daily. Air intake was easy to install and looks great. You will need to trim and inch off of intake tube if you have throttle body spacer as I did. No nig deal though. Only took seconds.

The Volant cold air intake was chosen because it is a true cold air intake. The filter is completely enclosed away from any engine heat and breathes thru the fender opening in my 01 f150. There are no bottle necks in this set up and it looks of good quality.I noticed a definate difference. I have been running this truck with a superchips cortex set for performance mode since Dec. 08 and finnaly got the Volant installed in March 09. With a Magnaflow cat back exhaust this trio package for around a grand is a good performance pkg.

it was installed pretty easy, the price was right and i do notice a little difference in performance , i think they could make it easier to remove the filter for cleaning

The installation was easy until connecting the breather hoses. The new locations of the hose barbs coming out of the intake pipe were offset about 2 inches from the stock pipe. I feel a power increase at higher speeds but from a stop the acceleration feels the same. However I do feel the engine responds faster when you get on it. I haven't checked to see if I get better gas mileage yet but I suspect a small increase. Personally I believe just replacing the air filter with a high flow filter would have been the way to go because you would save a lot of money and I think the result would be about the same.
