On a lot of cars, adding a CAI doesn't have a major impact. The L76 6.0L V8 in the Pontiac G8 is the most conservatively tuned version in the L76 family. The engine is very restricted at the intake and the Volant system is a huge improvement. It was easy to install (about 45 minutes). Couple with a specific tune and you can add 30 to 35 HP to your G8. You can't beat the bang for the buck!

Could have used some instructions, but it all came together fine, in about an hour. Can't tell if there is more power, have not yet checked the gas milage. More engine sound (a good thing!) under hard acceleration. Maybe needs some exhaust work next?

The Volant intake provides increased throttle response and seems to show an increase in MPG, though I haven't had installed long enough to really crunch the numbers. Installation is 30 minutes with basic hand tools. An excellent product that looks great and will pay for itself over time. AMG...Bristow, VA
