Installation was a little tricky because of the angle getting it in the receiver air box but with a little force it fit perfectly. When taking the factory intake tube there was leafs clog in the fender well and I can hear leafs inside one of the intake chambers. So overall notice I difference in throttle control.

If your looking to free up your motor compartment, get a slight but nice volume difference and a high performance dry reusable filter for a 2004-2008 5.4 3v triton I would recommend this... Way less than any decent aftermarket cai, more for your money... It's positioned towards the front were I think it is getting cleaner air as well... Only complaint is with this application after getting into proper monting position(making connection to air intake housing look the best)it felt a little tweaked

The Jr. Kit definitely boosted the performance of my F-150, not as much as I expected but it did. It seems that the truck is picking up speed slightly faster. Additionally, it gives the engine bay a much cleaner look than the factory intake tube. However, the notch that snaps the Airaid intake tube into the factory air box seems to strip easily. It's already more worn than the notch on the factory tube and I've only had to remove it once. The filter on the other hand is very high quality.

For a cheap, working, and nice looking cold air intake, this is what you want. i dont think it really helps with the milage but the throttle response and deep noise along with a few hp make it worth while. i recommend it and also an edge programmer to get those mpgs back.
