"Take"Home this Intake

Great Intake. Paired this with Airaid Dry Flow Air Filter and you can hear the rumble between high 1 to low 3 RPM's. Definitely sounds more like a truck. Only issue was one of the quick connect hose clips was stripped and wouldn't work. Just used a regular one and was good to go!!! "Take" this Intake home. You won't be disappointed.

Nice upgrade

Great unit! Bought it for practical and cosmetic reasons. Not worried or concerned with how it makes my vehicle perform. Needed a new intake tube and this was the cheaper alternative. I really like it though!

Airaid Intake Tube 2006 silverado

Very easy to install. Improved throttle response and acceleration. Pulling trailer feels much easier on the truck now. Also sounds great with my flow master exhaust. Does exactly what I was hoping for.

performance

The afraid mti enhances throttle response and i am sure that over time it will slightly increase fuel milage, the computer will need more time to adjust for the better air flow.

Looks great!

Easy to install, took about 30 mins. Really cleans up the engine bay. Slight noise increase on WOT. Together with AFM delete gained a little gas milage, definitely better throttle response. Very happy with my purchase!

Not bad

Had the MIT for a few weeks now. No noticable difference in fuel economy, a little noise when you get on it. People are making it sound like it changes the sound of your engine at all times. It does not. Looks much better than stock does under the hood. Overall not a bad intake for the short money, i paired mine up with a k&n filter.

Modular intake 6.2l escalade

Fit and finish is pretty good. Didn't really trust the threads for one of the fittings much, but managed okay. Was very surprised by how throaty of a sound my intake now puts out. As far as performance and mpg maybe .5mpg difference if any, and performance unable to tell. I'm sure there was a gain but not by the seat of my pants on a 6000lb vehicle. If you tow a lot and require greater than 1/2 throttle or so the sound would get old, just my $.02 Would buy again

Better air flow than GM could ever imagine

This product is worth adding to your intake. In an engine compartment that produces high heat temps this is the answer. This item along with a high flow air filter in the O.E. housing I found to be the best way to bring cool air into the system.CAI's just doesn't shield intake consumtion from under hood heat no matter what the price.

Great product. Nice throaty sound from the motor and exhaust. Works well paired with my diablosport and I suggest you modify your factory airbox for Max performance!

Good quality, install is not so easy

Removing the old parts can by tricky if in cold weather. And if you are short like me (5'7"), its hard to reach down and put the tube in place. Overall took about 2 hours for install. It changed the intake sound a litte bit, no gain in power.

Seems legit

Seems to have slightly better power under hard acceleration and maybe slightly better MPG. Not loud at all like some others have said. Cleaner less cluttered look under hood. Nice overall upgrade just don't expect anything dramatic, after all it's just a intake tube. If your someone who can't leave stock alone I do recommend this upgrade. Wish the price was lower but it is what it is.

Good replacement for stock intake.

This intake is a good replacement for your stock intake. Its super easy to install and you can hear the air getting sucked in when you step on the pedal. There is no moving the Mass Air Flow Sensor, it stays in the factory location. Suggest replacing the air filter with an oil based k&n or equivalent filter.

Quick and easy

Easy enough to install right after dinner. Only complaint is that the non flexible fitting that connects the tube to the airfilter box is rigid making taking the air filter in and out a little frustrating. Bery doable bit not as easy as the OE fitting.
